Community Service Volunteering is a great way to get involved and give back to the community. While this is not required for high school graduation, almost all scholarships require a minimum of 100 hours. Volunteer hours can be gained for performing a helpful service to someone outside of your family who is not paying you for your time. Here are just a few examples: working a concession stand, helping at a fall festival, cutting grass for a neighbor who is sick or incapacitated.
